Does the Library’s open?
Yes. It is now possible to walk around the shelves and use collective furniture as well as electronic devices. Access is adapted in accordance with the public health guidelines issued by the Government of Québec to combat COVID-19.
You can also still use the contactless loan service, available by appointment and pick up your documents at the Cultural Centre’s entrance.
How do I borrow and pick up library documents using the contactless loan service?
First, search the Library’s online catalogue for the document titles you’re interested in. You can send us your requests by email at email@example.com, or call us at 450 532-2250. You can also reserve books online, directly in your member account.
Then, make an appointment to pick up your documents at the Cultural Centre’s secondary entrance, located next to the Library parking lot. Pickup schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesday: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

How do I return books?
Books can be returned via the book drop located outside, accessible 7 days a week.
Are masks mandatory?
Yes. Wearing a mask is mandatory for everyone aged 10 years and older.
Who can use the Library?
The Library is for residents of the Valcourt region. Membership is free for residents of the City of Valcourt. Starting January 1, 2021, membership will be free for everyone residing in the Valcourt Canton. Residents from other municipalities can use the Library for a small yearly fee: children $5, adults $15, families $25.
Is the exhibition centre open?
Yes. The exhibition center is currently open with the Kaleidoscope exhibit until April 11. Visitors can move around the rooms depending an established route, and markings on the floor.
