YVONNE L. BOMBARDIER VISUAL ARTS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The J. Armand Bombardier Foundation offers students of the visual arts attending a Quebec university the opportunity to apply for the Yvonne L. Bombardier Visual Arts Scholarship Program.  

The scholarship includes : 

  • A cash prize of $10,000
  • An exhibition in the Yvonne L. Bombardier Cultural Centre
  • A creative and research residence in the Valcourt region

Lucia Choulakian

A Master’s student at the University of Quebec in Montreal, Lucia Choulakian is a fourth-generation descendant of survivors of the Armenian genocide.

Her artistic approach offers a contemporary and sensitive perspective on the suffering experienced by women during this genocide and the resulting transgenerational trauma. Her rigorous research, driven by strong human values and an assertive feminist approach, demonstrates great maturity and free and consistent creativity.

The scolarship recipients are: Sara A.Tremblay, Maude Bernier-ChabotAndréanne Abonddanza-Bergeron, Véronique Ménard, Nicolas Dufour-Laperrière, Maude Corriveau, Caroline Cloutier, Maude Arsenault, Magali Baribeau-Marchand, Ryth Kesselring, Geneviève Thibault, Pierre-Olivier Déry and Lucia Choulakian.
