Juillard is a visual arts teacher. Bachelet is a cabinetmaker specializing in decorative sculpture. Together, they form the Zoné Vert collective art intervention.
This Townships’ duo is particularly interested in the relationship between human beings and their environment, whether that be in urban or rural settings. Drawing inspiration from the physical appearance of a place and its history, they transform the scene by interpreting it through their poetic eyes, designing installations with natural materials.
Memory, imagination, texture, perspective and the play of light and shadow all come together in one stunning piece of art – creating a space that is not just pleasing to the eye but also invites the viewer to reflect on the ways in which mankind has impacted the environment.
