Rougir de honte (“Blushing with shame”), Envoyer au diable vert (“Go to hell!”) and Rire jaune (“Forced laugh”) are among the works being exhibited at the Cultural Centre by Renée Carrier, a multidisciplinary artist from Amos. A colourful, light-hearted collection, it comprises a variety of paintings, as well as floor and wall installations. By incorporating aspects of popular culture into her minimalist monochromes, she cleverly explores the evocative power of colour on the human soul. The titles she gives her artwork are interpreted with dazzling effect, enveloping the viewer in strong, colourful images that bring the senses alive.
