In Apparences (Appearances), the multidiscliplinary artist Chloé Beaulac, through symbolic images, masterfully depicts the relationship between human beings, nature and the land. The exhibition encompasses three distinct series whose imaginative and mystical narratives prompt the viewer to contemplate and question their meaning. Photomontages, serigraphs, pyrography (wood burning) and drawings are among the various techniques employed by Chloé Beaulac, who specializes in art prints. The images offer a veritable « pilgrimage », through the dreamlike universe of the artist, during which viewers discover unusual sanctuaries, follow a photographic road trip around rural Quebec and encounter mystical creatures in unfamiliar habitats.
