Andréanne Abbondanza-Bergeron, recipient of the 2016-17 Yvonne L. Bombardier Graduate Scholarship in Visual Arts, looks at the links between space and interpersonal relationships through sculpture, installation art and photography.

Having studied architecture, the artist seeks to highlight an awareness of one’s surroundings and the feeling of how a body, in a physical sense, occupies a space. She creates her art in situ – work designed to confront viewers, placing them at the core of the experience.
