INTERLIBRARY LOANS

The Yvonne L. Bombardier Library offers an interlibrary loan service, in conjunction with Réseau BIBLIO de l’Estrie. Several thousand books are available to subscribers. If the Library does not have a particular title, you can borrow it from another library. This can be done in person at the subscription counter or by phone. You can also request a title directly through the website.

NEW : Since May 1, 2026, the interlibrary loan (ILL) service is available on a new platform, accessible via the Library catalogue, where you can submit your requests. Requests currently in progress will be processed as usual: you do not need to take any action. The team will also be able to assist and guide you through the new procedure for making interlibrary loan requests.

Documents which are excluded: New documents (less than 6 months old), research materials that belong in the Library, periodicals and multimedia materials (CDs, DVDs, CD-ROMs, etc.).

Terms and conditions: These are fixed by the lending library (length of loan, extension of the borrowing period, etc.), however, the late fines levied by the Yvonne L. Bombarder Library apply.

Fees: There is no charge for the interlibrary borrowing service, however, if another library charges a fee, then the request is cancelled.
