BOOK DONATIONS

Citizens can donate used documents (books, DVDs and games) to the Library at any time during business hours. Documents must be in very good condition and have been published in the past 15 years. For donations of more than one box (30 books), please contact the Library. Anyone donating items will be asked to sign a form stating that the documents become the property of the Library.

Donated items get a second life and may be:

• Added to the library collection in accordance with the collection development policy
• Placed in the outdoor summer book boxes at the Cultural Centre and Camille-Rouillard parks
• Sold by the Library in its used book section or annual book sale
• Donated to an organization

The following items are not accepted:

• Documents that are damaged, stained, yellowed, highlighted or give off a bad smell
• Magazines
• Encyclopedias
• School textbooks and exercise books
• Video and audio cassettes
• Music CDs and vinyl records
