BIBLIO À DOMICILE (HOME DELIVERY SERVICE)

Biblio à domicile is a home delivery pilot project developed by the Library in collaboration with the Centre d’action bénévole Valcourt et Région. The project makes the Library’s collections (books, magazines, films, puzzles, etc.) accessible to people with reduced mobility, who are convalescing, who have a loss of autonomy or who need home support, in particular seniors. In this first phase, the pilot project is available to residents of Valcourt and the Canton de Valcourt.

How does it work?

  • Library users can reserve documents online, by e-mail or by telephone.
  • A volunteer then collects the documents from the Library, delivers them to the beneficiary’s home and returns them to the Library the following month.
  • Delivery takes place on the first Thursday of each month.

A secure service

All volunteers undergo a security check.

How do I sign up?

ACCÈS-LIVRES

Accès-livres is a monthly book transportation service that allows the Yvonne L. Bombardier Library and its partner schools to benefit from a rich and diverse selection of documents suitable for all ages and educational levels.

Books are delivered once a month from September to May. Communication is simplified through a pickup/delivery schedule that the school receives at the beginning of the school year. A designated member of the school staff notifies teachers when it’s time to return the books. Then, the documents are placed in the bins ready for pickup by the transportation service.

Would you like to request books on a specific theme for the next delivery? Contact us!
